Thomas Hart Benton (American, 1889-1975) Morning Train , alternatively titled Soldier's Farewell , 1943, published by Associated American Artists, New York, edition of 250 (Fath, 58). Signed "Benton" in pencil l.r. and within the matrix, identified on a label from AAA affixed to the mat. Lithograph on wove paper with "Alexandra Book" watermark, image size 9 3/8 x 13 5/8 in. (23.7 x 34.5 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 3/4 inches with deckled edges to all but the right side, gentle toning and light striking, hinges broken.
