Patterned Copper Bowl, India, 18th/19th century, possibly Deccan, compressed globular form with slightly tapered neck and everted rim, the body incised with a band of trefoil motifs, a band of calligraphy naming the owner as "Vali bin 'Ali Bayg'" at the neck and a prayer to God to bless the Prophet Mohammed inscribed in a spiral at the base, dia. 7 1/2 in.
