Khamseh Rug, Southwest Persia, c. 1900, the blue field with two gold and ivory gabled and latch-hooked squares inset with highly stylized rosettes and flanked by smaller similar type polychrome medallions and palmettes with serrated leaves, all within an ivory stylized rosette and reciprocal stepped triangle motif main border, multiple square and ribbon-patterned minor borders, 6 ft. 2 in. x 4 ft.
