Qashqai Prayer Carpet, Southwest Persia, early 20th century, the red field with an allover polychrome "mille fleurs" design emerging from a vase flanked by columns with a crenulated border, deep teal spandrels at the top, all within a chocolate brown interlacing vine and rosette main border, multiple ivory floral minor borders, small-scale checkerboard-patterned band above the fringe at both ends, 9 ft. 1 in. x 5 ft. 6 in.
