George II Sterling Silver Kettle-on-Stand, London, 1757-58, Thomas Whipham & Charles Wright, maker, inverted baluster-form with rocaille flower sprays and a cartouche engraved with a coat of arms to one side and presentation inscription to the other, the stand with floral swags on three scrolled legs terminating in reticulated and splayed C-scroll feet, ht. to handle 15 7/8 in., approx. 70 troy oz., with a fitted wood case.
