Civil War-era Gloves Identified to Franklin W. Chenery, 44th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, c. 1862-63, white woven cotton gloves with knitted wrists. Provenance: The collection of Denis E. Reen. Note: According to a written note, these gloves where found in the pocket of the frock coat once owned by Denis. The last known location of the coat was in the National Guard Gallery in Washington, DC.
