French Marble-Top Doré-Bronze Chest, circa 1880, with Large Vitrine Door encased in bronze with Boule top-corner embellishments in red and bronze. The cast figural and decorative ormolu mounts and string inlays add dimension to this extravagant case. The chest is raised on bracket feet and measures 41 ½ inches wide by 15 inches deep by 50 inches high. There a couple of small chips in the marble and a crack in the right side wood panel.
