Three Wrought and Cast Iron Wafer Irons, a Stove Base, and Two Griddles, America, late 18th/early 19th century, three wafer irons: two with plate interiors with identical embossed and impressed designs of four-point stars, curlicues, wings, arrows, and olive branches, and exteriors with engraved circles and semicircles, and one with plate interiors with non-identical arrangements of hearts, flowers, chickens, and scallops, the handles marked "[indistinct] D" near pivot, lg. to 31 1/4, dia. to 6; a mushroom-shaped stove base with sprue mark and rim, on three feet, (imperfections), ht. 8 1/2, wd. 15 3/4, dp. 10 3/4; the griddles each with round griddle surface, gate mark, lip, three feet, and long, shaped handle, (imperfections), ht. to 4, lg. to 20, dia. to 11 in.
