Small Needlework Sampler, Mary Kelly, at "Mr. Raines Hospital," Wapping, London, 1762 worked in threads on a fine linen ground, composed of four rows of verse above the maker's name and school, hearts and crowns, and Adam and Eve flanking the serpent's tree below, (toned, faded), 9 1/4 x 6 1/4 in., in a figured maple frame and gilt liner.
