Three Wedgwood Black Basalt Figural Candleholders, England, 19th century, two modeled as classical maidens, possibly depicting Ceres, with floriform nozzle atop a cornucopia, the figure standing on a circular plinth set on a square base, ht. 10, 10 1/4; one a Triton figure holding a cornucopia and kneeling on a free-form rocky base, ht. 10 1/4 in.; impressed marks. Provenance: Property of the Saint Louis Art Museum, Sold to benefit the acquisition fund.
