Five Georgian Silver Mote Spoons, all probably mid-18th to early 19th century, each of typical form with reticulated bowls and pointed barb terminals, two with shell heels: one bearing rubbed mark "JW" possibly for James Wilks, lg. 5 3/8, the other marked "RH," with an engraved armorial to joint, lg. 5 1/16, the third with a floral spray to the joint, maker's mark "MD" possibly for Marmaduke Daintrey, lg. 5 1/8, the fourth with a rattail joint and rubbed marks, lg. 5 7/8, and the fifth, with a double drop joint and rubbed marks, lg. 5 1/4 in., approx. 1.4 troy oz. total.
