Cherry Carved Secretary Bookcase, Connecticut, c. 1780-1800, the top section with molded and dentiled cornice and two hinged doors with recessed molded shaped panels opening to two adjustable shelves above similarly paneled slant lid opening to an interior of seven drawers, the central drawer with a carved fan and ten valanced compartments with an inlaid leather writing bed, the oxbow cock-beaded case of four graduated drawers on conforming ogee bracket feet, replaced brasses, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 85, wd. 40, dp. 20 in.
