Diminutive Carved Cherry Desk Bookcase, possibly central Massachusetts, late 18th century, the top section with scrolled cornice and reeded pinwheel terminals centering flame and urn finial above two hinged doors with shaped panels, on the lower section with fall front opening to a stepped interior of valanced compartments and drawers including two pilaster-front document drawers, on case of four graduated drawers and bracket feet centering a drop pendant, brasses appear to be original, old finish, (minor imperfections), ht. 83, wd. 36 1/2, dp. 21 in.
