Federal Infantry Uniform Jacket, c. 1861-65, dark blue kersey body, all hand-sewn with the exception of a line of topstitching on the top of the collar, twelve brass cuff-size eagle buttons down the right front, and eleven buttonholes on the left side, lined in a wool checked cloth, and the sleeves lined with cotton sheeting, a possible mill-mark on right inside sleeve lining, which says LANCA and is cut off (possibly for Lancaster Mill), with inspection and size 1 dot in the cap of both sleeves.
