Brass Lantern Clock for the Turkish Market, England, c. 1780, topped by a strapped bell and pierced brass frets, dial with applied chapter ring with Turkish numerals and minute markings, matted center and maker's boss in the arch in Arabic, two blued steel hands, thirty-hour, time and countwheel strike posted frame movement powered by a single lead weight and regulated by a verge escapement with a short pendulum, with a purpose built associated wooden bracket, ht. of clock only 13 in.
