Fres Wiss 18kt Gold and Enamel Open Face Watch, probably France, No. 7778, c. 1700, the glazed bezel with diamond chips and engraved decoration opens to the convex porcelain Roman numeral dial with Arabic minutes and moon hands, the case back with miniature enamel portrait framed with diamond chips and multicolor gold swags on a matte ground, numbered 7778 on stem, swing-out, gilt plate, verge escapement movement with chain fusee, cylindrical pillars and plate inscribed Fres Wifs [sic]/& Amalric/7778 , simple steel balance with hairspring, pierced bridge, and silvered regulator dial, dia. 32 mm, 32.4 g.
