N.B. "Bi' se mac an t'slaurie" is translated to "Be thou the son of the crook," for the Clan McLaurin, McLaurance or McLaren (Dreghorn, Scotland), in James Fairbairn's Fairbairn's Crests of the Families of Great Britain and Ireland .
