Saturday Evening Girls Pottery Bowl Hand-decorated pottery Decorated by JMD for Celia Goodman, both SEG decorators, Boston, Massachusetts, 1920 Two shades of blue accented by a black horizontal line and decorated with a medallion of a tree and house in green, white, blue, and brown glazes, ht. 3 1/8, dia. 6 3/4 in. Provenance: Celia Goodman's wedding dishes, descended in the family. Note: It was the custom that the girls decorated for each other as a wedding gift. SEG decorator Sarah Galner's wedding service is part of the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts.
