Diamond Pendant, prong-set with a pear-shape diamond measuring approx. 18.07 x 14.78 x 5.49 mm, and weighing 10.38 cts., within a gold mount and suspended from delicate chain, (chips). Note: Accompanied by GIA report no. 6177328698, dated September 23, 2015, stating that the diamond is H color, SI2 clarity. Provenance: From the collection of a prominent British American family. According to family oral history, most of the stones and pearls were purchased in the 1880s or 1890s by the family patriarch, a successful banker who maintained residences in the United States, Great Britain, and France.
