Diamond Drop, prong-set with a pear-shape diamond measuring approx. 21.01 x 14.74 x 6.12 mm, and weighing 12.99 cts., within a platinum mount with marquise-cut diamond accents. Note: Accompanied by GIA report no. 2175328703, dated September 23, 2015, stating that the diamond is I color, VS1 clarity. Provenance: From the collection of a prominent British American family. According to family oral history, most of the stones and pearls were purchased in the 1880s or 1890s by the family patriarch, a successful banker who maintained residences in the United States, Great Britain, and France.
