Loose Painting Fragments Depicting Portraits of Eight Nobles, China, torn in four parts, including one depicting a princely man seated in a chair dressed in official attire with dragon rank badge along with his wife and two concubines; one depicting an old woman dressed in a dragon robe with an old man of lower rank dressed in official attire with a hat; one depicting a man dressed in official attire with lion rank badge; and one depicting a woman dressed in a dragon robe with birds; ink, color, and gold on brown paper, each portrait to 11 x 5 3/4 in. Provenance: From the estate of Kai Suhr, who supplied Chiang-Kai-shek's army in China between the years of 1938-1939.
