Numbered and signed "28/250 Andy Warhol" in pencil l.r., printer's dry stamp l.l. Color screenprint on paperboard, sheet size 36 x 36 in. (91.4 x 91.4 cm), framed. Condition: Floated within the mat, not examined out of frame. N.B. Warhol applied his pop sensibilities to the Cowboys and Indians series, choosing iconic images such as Geronimo, Annie Oakley, and John Wayne. He also included several images of cultural objects including a pair of kachina dolls, a Plains Indian shield, and this Northwest Coast mask, probably made by the Kwakiutl tribe.
