John Oetgen (American, Contemporary). Vertically aligned oil on canvas painting by Atlanta interior designer depicting an abstract figural painting in shades of yellow, green, red, gray and cream. Checker boarding on lower right above elongated forms that recall the streamlined shape of modern sculptures. Signed lower right "OETGEN". Unframed. 59.75 inches x 35.75 inches. Provenance: Commissioned by Mr. Thomas V. Patton and Mrs. Marie B. Patton in September of 1997. Accompanied with copy of invoice from John D. Oetgen.
