18th century, the well of the cup carved to mimic overlapping lotus leaves converging at the center of the interior, with a base modeled after squared, spiraling and gnarled branches of a prunus tree, the branches carved as if growing upwards and issuing buds and blossoms cradling the cup. Height 3 x width 4 1/2 x depth 3 1/2 inches; 86 grams.
