of trumpet form, having applied Tokugawa mons around the mouth rim and at the neck between lappet form foliate decorated reserves, the lower register of the neck with diaper pattern reserves and flanked by two Buddhist guardian deities and behind a Buddha figure standing on a lotus base before an altar table, the reverse with a seated Buddhist figure, the circular drum form lower body supported by three oni figures and with key-fret and foliate decoration, the whole raised on a circular foot, unsigned. Height 30 1/4 inches.
