Register of Revolutionary War debt certificates issued by the state of Virginia to help pay for costs incurred during the War. Recorded and assembled by John Hopkins, loan officer for Virginia. Signed by Joseph Nourse, first United States Register of the Treasury, Treasury Department Register's Office, September 5, 1792. Marginal chipping and browning to leaves; horizontal fold with splitting at creases on some leaves.
