Chinese, 20th century. Patinated cast bronze figural group censor depicting a scholarly man holding a scroll in his hand riding on horseback. Saddle textile or blanket with cloud imagery. Figure able to be removed from animal below to access lower chamber. Robed man on top of horse with teadrop shaped hole on back between shoulders for emission of incense smoke and vapors. Unmarked. Height 9", width 7.25", depth 1.75".
