Paris: L'Imprimerie de Valade, 1784. 4to, contemporary maroon leather with gilt-stamped coat-of-arms of the Montesquiou-Fezensac family to upper board, gilt-lettered red leather spine label. With fold-out genealogical table tracing the lineage of the French Symbolist poet and dandy's family tree, which includes Charles de Batz-Castelmore d'Artagnan, the model for Dumas' muskateer. Very light wear to boards; a few repaired tears, dampstaining and light browning to leaves.
