[Paris: Maison du Livre], 1907. 4to, original blind-stamped decorative leather, gilt-lettered spine, t.e.g., marbled endpapers, felt-lined slipcase, original wrappers bound-in. First edition of this collection of vignettes dedicated to the memory of Gabriel de Yturri, number 38 of 100 printed for the author, with frontispiece and two plates. Inscribed to French poet and novelist, Judith Gautier, dated June 27, 1908. Rubbing to spine and to edges of slipcase. In his book, William C. Carter notes a celebration of the publication of this book was held June 27, 1908, at the Pavillon des Muses. Montesquiou invited friends and distinguished artists (leaving out Proust) and we might presume this was inscribed to Sorel at that time. (Carter 451)
