Mexico: Diz re de, 1804. 12mo, marbled paper wraps, title page, index, and 22 leaves of manuscript, including a fold-out table of parishes and villages laid in. First published in book form in 1822, taken as a whole, this is the first modern statistical analysis of Mexico and the Southwest. They were not published as a whole until 1920. Humboldt provided Viceroy de Iturrigaray in Mexico a copy of his manuscript before he sent it to Europe; this copy is likely a contemporary copy of that manuscript. Very light foxing.
