French. 19th Century. Louis XVI style paint and parcel gilt decorated fauteuil, the rectangular upholstered back within bead and reel carved frame, flanked by the finial capped and fluted stiles, the downswept guilloche carved arms with acanthus carved supports over a padded seat with entrelac carved rail, on turned tapered and fluted legs headed with patera blocks. Traces of gilt. Height 37", width 22" (arm to arm), seat depth 17.5", seat height 17".
