Rare catalogue of the "degenerate art" exhibition mounted by the Third Reich, comprising of 5,000 paintings and 12,000 graphic works of art, including works of Kokoschka, Kirchner, Grosz, Klee and others. Many of the items were sold in a 1938 auction in Switzerland; some were acquired by museums and private collections and others by Nazi officials for their private use. Many other works by Avant-garde German artists were burned. Light wear to wraps.
