Westminster: Machell Stace, 1810. 4to, quarter calf over decorative boards. Bookplate Guilielmi Eliot Furness, tipped to front pastedown, signed ("Wm. Eliot Furness") in pencil on the f.f.e.p. Furness served in the U.S. army from August 1863 to October 1865 as 1st lieutenant of the 3rd U.S. colored troops and as captain of the 45th U.S. colored troops and then served as judge advocate of the U.S. Vols., 1865. With numerous engraved plates, some fold-out. Wear to boards, ends bumped; ephemera tipped to front pastedown.
