First edition, number 39 of 500 signed by Bakst and de Brunhoff with lithographic portrait of Bakst by Picasso and 54 color-printed plates after Bakst mounted on card with captioned tissue guards. Additionally inscribed by Bakst on the portrait to Madame Benjamin Moore, "en souvenir des seances exquise, de son portrait et de l'amitie sincere et admiratire," dated August 11, 1922, Paris, in blue ink. Slipcase worn and in pieces with backstrip detached; contents lightly foxed.
