having a putto standard with a quiver, supporting an enameled cabochon above his head, decorated with a dog tied to a tree, the naturalistic base set with old mine cut diamonds, having an oval carnelian intaglio engraved with two hands tying a knot and bearing an inscription, further set in the original fitted velvet and silk-lined leather case. Height of seal 1 3/8 x length of case 1 7/8 inches.
