depicting a nobleman holding a jue cup in one hand and his beard in the other, a kingfisher bird flying in front of him and sparrows and a butterfly in the left register, with an embroidered vertical inscription for the eleventh year of the Guangxu reign, all executed in gold-wrapped threads and the birds embroidered in silk, bordered with circular mirrored plaques and an outer border of embroidered Taoist emblems, framed. Height overall 34 1/4 x width 40 1/4 inches.
