of cylindrical form, having a key-fret rim border above free-moving ring handles issued from beasts' mouths, with an applied carved figural scene to the flat cover, the body carved depicting a setting of knotted pine and birds with scrolling clouds in the distance, raised on a conforming foot with incised pattern, the underside with spurious Ming Dynasty mark. Height 16 1/2 inches.
