Extraordinary Whiting King Edward 231 Piece Sterling Silver Service for 12 with Many Extras & Serving Pieces. All contained in a fitted, satin lined oak casket with name Wilson in brass plaque secured on top of chest. Marked Boyd Park Jewelry Co., Denver Colorado top center of satin lid. All monogrammed W. Patented April 23, 1901. Most pieces with bowls or forks have gilding. The service is presented in five fitted levels. The bottom level consists of 24 dinner knives, 12 butter knives, a meat fork, a large and a small carving knife, a knife sharpener and a large and small 2 tine meat holder. The second shelf contains 12 oyster? spoons 12 Demitasse spoons, 12 salt spoons, 12 hors douevres forks, and 12 teaspoons. The third shelf contains 12 salad forks as well as 12 larger salad forks, 12 dinner forks, 12 luncheon forks and 12 shrimp forks. The fourth shelf holds 12 teaspoons, 12 tablespoons, 12 bouillion and 12 large bowl soup spoons. The lid lifts for the top level displaying 21 serving pieces including a 13 inch ladle and 2 other ladles, a long knife, a sugar tongs, pickle fork, soft cheese scoop, pie server, large serving fork, nut spoon, master butter, large serving spoons and others. All in very good condition with minor wear to gilding of some. The oak casket is in very good condition including brass mountings and handles.
