the main body of flattened globular form containing two carved white jade panels below raised silver bats, carved in relief with a bat holding a branch of ripe peaches on one side and a bat above a tied bouquet of lotus pods, one side having a handle with raised scrolling decoration and the other issuing the spout from the mouth of a beast, the vessel having applied turquoise and coral hardstones throughout with a splayed foot having a raised band of repetitive lappet decoration, the whole surmounted by a white jade lid carved with eight Buddhist articles and having a free-moving ring at the top.
