late 18th/early 19th century, realistically modeled, wearing a cocked hat over the polychrome painted face, the head with applied hair, wearing cream and tan wool garb with a satchel draped over one arm, wearing stockings ending in leather wrapped feet, holding a scabbard and having a sword at his side, together with an additional sword, raised on a square wood plinth with a later branded signature and impressed 23. Height overall 15 3/4 inches.
