Mark Hopkins (American 20th century). Bronze sculpture of a wild mountain lion or panther depicted in three fragmented segments including a large paw on left, a focused wild cat face with furry ears alert and head tilted slightly downward as if on the hunt at center, and a twisted tree branch form at right. Signed, numbered and dated on lower back of animal sculpture "56/450 Mark Hopkins 92". Height 13.75 inches, width 9.5 inches, depth 9 inches. Provenance: Purchased by Mrs. Marie B. Patton as a gift for Mr. Thomas V. Patton for his 70th birthday. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
