Qing Dynasty, of pale translucent celadon jade, depicting the cicada perched on a lotus leaf having incised vein lines and a smaller leaf to the reverse, the insect having incised and articulated wings and legs, pierced at the stem for a cord. Length 2 1/4 inches.
