London: Longmans, Green, 1886. 12mo, publisher's printed paper wraps, with hand-corrected date, full calf folding case. First English edition, first issue, with "5" in 1885 on the binding ink changed to "6" by the publisher and ad for the second edition of "A Child's Garden of Verses" at the rear. This wrapper-bound issue precedes the cloth issue by a week. Spine worn with portions of the original text; some soiling to wraps; endpapers foxed; bookseller's sticker tipped to front pastedown.
