Chinese, first half of 20th century, possibly earlier. Carved rosewood chair with high back decorated and pierced with birds, dragons, and flowers on front (including hip rest), stylized clouds on back. Seat with circular medallion with three large leaves within and meandering spiral border at front above shaped and pierced apron. Front squat cabriole legs with dragon ornamented knees. Height 50.25", width 24.25", depth 23". Seat to floor 16".
