having a teardrop form finial to the cover, with gilt classical acanthus leaf decoration throughout, the central reserve decorated with the portrait of a maiden opposed by a wreath and ribbon motif, signed Wagner, the waist ormolu mounted and terminating in the pedestal base, raised on a gilt bronze bracket foot, cover interior with Sevres mark and further marked Queen of Roses. Height 27 inches.
