Kate Adams (American, Contemporary), "Baby Bears Paw"-1999, limited edition folk art miniature quilt. Diminuitive quilt composed of antique calico fabrics. Quilt in tones of yellow, red, blue, white and green. Titled, dated, and signed in red below textile. Verso of work with paper label with information on the artist and work including title, date and edition number of 6. Adams' textile work is marketed through institutions as the American Museum of Folk Art, Colonial Williamsburg, the Brandywine River Valley Museum and the Shelburne Museum. Adams' work has also appeared in publications such as Country Home, Victoria, and Colonial Homes. Additionally, her quiltwork has been included in the "Early American Life Directory of Craft", Robert Shaw's "Quilts - A Living Tradition" (1995), and the "Williams Catalog of American Master Craftsmen" (2002).
