By Nezu Jimpei. Text in Japanese. Circa eighteenth-century hand-copy of an early work, s.l., n.d. 3 vols. 4to, contents sewn into blue paper wraps, in three columns. Illustrated with numerous in-text vignette woodcuts, mainly to vol. 3, including 16 hand-colored eyes, six woodcuts of bait and traps, 11 species of falcons, also hand-colored, seven uncolored anatomical woodcuts, ropes and ties. Nezu Jimpei was working as a falconer in the Kamakura period (twelfth-fourteenth century).
