An original pen and watercolor drawing of Babar, in a yellow suit as opposed to his trademark green suit, and his family at Celesteville-by-the-Sea, signed "Laurent de Brunhoff" at lower right. After the death of his father, Jean de Brunhoff, Laurent de Brunhoff completed two unfinished works by his father followed by numerous additional titles in the Babar series. 10 1/4 x 16 1/2 inches.
