New York: Carle & Grener, 1873. 8vo, rebound in black cloth-backed boards, gilt-lettered spine. First edition with 571 woodcut illustrations. One of the only books in the nineteenth-century protected by a private copyright bill, passed by Congress in June of 1874. Light rubbing to boards at edges.
