the reverse having an applied figure of the Madonna and two winged putto masks highlighted with silk embroidery against an ivory ground, the front with stars and stylized lilies, the stole with fringe and Maltese cross appliques, the whole lined in French blue and worked with various stitches, metallic embroidery and bullion fringe throughout. Length overall 57 inches.
